Sitting on top of eight acres of land on Hwy 23 just outside of Sauk Rapids, Summerland Fun Park has been keeping families entertained for decades.
Go-karts, water slide, bumper boats, two different mini golf courses, batting cages, moon walk for the kids, an arcade and more all call this roadside plot of land home.
When you walk through the front gate you are greeted by the rushing sound of their giant water slide, and impeccably kept grounds. The owner, Wayne Swenson, takes great pride in the facility, and just wants everyone that comes to have a great time and make even greater summer memories.
Summerland boasts some of the best mini golf in the state of Minnesota. People drive for hours to come play their 18 hole “Lakes Adventure Golf” course. And just like the grounds, the course is well taken care of. The course is super unique, with every hole named after a different lake. It’s designed with the family in mind, but it’s just challenging enough to keep you coming back time and time again to better your score!
One of the newest attractions to the fun park is the Crazy Coyote slick track. This poured concrete track has you speeding and sliding around every single turn. If you like the feeling of wind in your hair, going fast, and smiling so big your cheeks hurt, this is the track for you.
Summerland Fun Park has something for every member of the family from the kids to grandma and grandpa. And for bigger groups you can even rent out their picnic pavilion.
They are open seven days a week Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, and also open weekends in September.
Wayne and his team have a great thing going out on Hwy 23, and many great memories are made on that plot of land. Here’s to many more years of summer fun at Summerland!
