When you drive by this farm on County Road 28 in Sauk Centre, the last thing you’re thinking of is a home decor wonderland. But come September through the holidays, that is exactly what it is.
Berg’s Country Barn started five years ago when Bill and Anita moved to the family farm. Their daughter wanted to use the barn for her wedding reception, and with a lot of hard work and twinkling light strands they had it in tip-top shape. Word got out about the wedding, and inquiries started coming in from other couples wanting to use it for their own, but Anita had other plans.
Anita owned and operated a retail shop on Main Street in Sauk Centre for 35 years, and with this new space she wanted to created a holiday pop-up shop, so she did. After the success of the first holiday pop-up, they decided to add a fall event as well.
The event seems to grow more and more every year. With the demand comes changes, and new in 2019 is the milk house addition, (complete with cow heads) to make the check out process easier. Their first fall weekend show saw over 1,700 people in attendance over two days.
Fall Market On The Farm happens weekends in September, then they clear it all out and reset for their holiday pop-up shop that kicks off the first weekend of November.
